2-6 Month Delinquent Credit Cards Q3-2023

The amount of delinquent credit cards (2-6mo.) has increased dramatically since mid-2022. The total amount delinquent exceeded $900M in the Q3-2023 call report:

Given economic conditions at the end of 2023, I expect the amount of delinquent credit cards to increase in the Q4 report. It’s no wonder the NCUA is concerned about this kind of risk and asking credit unions to prepare themselves for associated losses.
